The Builds

GS-0001 hasn't been built yet.

We're a new company with strong opinions and no portfolio. Our first detached golf building goes up this year in a Northeast backyard, and when it does, all of it gets documented — bare grass to first shot. This page fills up with real work, or it stays empty. Those are the only two options we're interested in.

GS-0001 could be any of the five build types, including The Push Cart — the container-chassis building that sets on piers and can be moved later. Whatever gets built first is what gets documented first.

What we're documenting.

Most simulator companies show you one finished photo and nothing else. No permit, no foundation, no framing, no budget, no mistakes. We're going the other way and publishing the whole build — including what went wrong and what it cost us to fix.

  • The bare yard, before anyone touches it
  • Siting, survey, setbacks and the permit
  • Site prep, clearing and grade
  • Foundation — slab, frost wall or helical pier
  • Framing and engineered snow-load structure
  • Roof, standing seam metal and weather-in
  • Board-and-batten siding and cedar detailing
  • Insulation, air sealing and the blower door
  • Electrical trench, subpanel and rough-in
  • Mini-split HVAC and four-season commissioning
  • Interior — black ceiling, lighting, acoustics, finishes
  • Turf, screen, projector geometry and calibration
  • Every problem, and how we solved it
  • The real cost breakdown, line by line
  • The first shot

The sequence

Bare grass to first shot.

Site prep — string lines and stakes on a cleared backyard building pad
01 — Site prep
Freshly poured concrete slab with anchor bolts and forms in place
02 — Foundation
Framing going up with tall ceiling structure visible
03 — Framing
Building dried in — sheathing, house wrap, roof on, windows going in
04 — Envelope & roof
Interior rough-in with insulation, electrical and black-painted ceiling structure
05 — Systems & interior
Turf and impact screen installation inside the finished shell
06 — Turf, screen, first shot

The project plaque.

Every completed building gets a permanent metal plaque. Brand, project number, build year. It goes on the wall the day we hand the building over and it stays there.

There is exactly one GS-0001. After that, the number goes up forever.

2026

Want to be GS-0001?

One Northeast homeowner gets our first showcase build at founder pricing. In exchange we document the entire project and shoot it professionally at completion — you keep the images, we keep the story.

The rest of the ask is small: a site that works, full documentation and photography rights, and two introductions if we do the job we intend to do.

Follow the build.

We'll send the build as it happens. A couple of emails a month at most, and nothing that isn't actually interesting.

Send us the yard. We'll tell you what we'd build in it.
